| Pretty much what it says... I report to USMC Officer Candidates School with NROTC second increment July 4th. |
|
My brother did that. It's a tough program. You'd better be in shape. They're going to work your ass so hard, you'll come home weaker than when you arrived. They'll physically tear you down. Prepare to get fucked with like you've never been fucked with before in your entire life. But the goal is worth it. Take everything they throw at you and come back for more...and when you graduate, you're a Marine Officer. ![]() CJ |
NOW thats encouragement!!!

It's like when I was in BUDS: I just kept saying to myself, "There IS no fucking bell. There IS no fucking bell. So I ain't gonna ring no fucking bell!" I kid, of course. I've never even MET a Seal or anyone who's been through BUDS, so far as I know. I have the greatest respect for those who are willing to subject themselves to the abuse that is part of the process of becoming a Marine, an officer, or part of any elite force. Heck, I respect anyone who's signed the document of enlistment or taken the officer's oath. CJ |

Remember though that USMC OCS is no promise of a commission. Think of it as one long interview process. At the end they decide whether you're worth dumping more money into and whether you've got what it takes to be entrusted with millions of dollars in equipment and the lives of Marines. |
NROTC, so no distinction as of yet. Already passed the ASTB though, and planning on PRK before graduating The Citadel and going to TBS, so if I can still get an Air package approved I'm gonna do it. |
What company are you in? S/F, Eric Romeo 98 |
Right on. Congrats on completing OCS. It's a good feeling isn't it? I did the same cycle in 97. Funny, I actually remember freezing my ass off the first week after a big thunderstorm we had. Then, the next 5 weeks it was nothing but sweating my ass off. |
