| Looking for historical fiction books with solid story lines similar to gates of fire but set in any of the crusades. Ideally with no fantasy aspect. Any ideas ? |

The Arn movie is snippets of a (I think) 6 part miniseries made into a single film. The only problem for some folks with the mini series is that reading subtitles for that long can be a chore. there are just snippets about the crusade, but Barbara Tuchman's book "A Distant Mirror, the Calamitous 14th Century" is about a French nobleman who did participate in the Crusades. |
