In that price range, you will probably be limited to 720p resolution.  Sets with 1080p resolution will be a couple hundred dollars higher.

I have a Samsung 32" LCD HDTV (720p resolution), and I love it.  I have had it a little over a year, and have not had any problems.  I would highly recommend the Samsung.  I have seen them recently priced in the $700 to $750 range.

I have never seen one with a built in DVD player.

In that price range you might be able to score Toshiba 32rv530, 1080p, or a Vizio, not sure if you can find a samsung or sharp quite that cheap yet. I wouldn't trust any of the budget brands. None have built in dvd.

this one is in your price range and is 1080p

There is a whole bunch in your price range. Keep in mind 720p or 1080p difference. 1080 is the highest resolution, and great for playing blu-ray movies.

They have this TV/DVD combo but I wouldn't get a combo at this time. Blu-ray will be the standard very soon and blu-ray won't play on a regular dvd player.
