Hi Board,

I just got my house back from a nasty divorce and was wondering. What is a good color to paint the interior inside. I hate houses that every rooom had a different color. What would be two good base colors for that clean or cozy modern look.

White.  clean, clinical, void of warmth and emotion, like your ex?

White (flat or eggshell) for the walls and gloss white for the wood trim.

i grew up my entire life in a white/white house. Now I don't anymore, but to tell you the truth, I never had any complaints about the white, and i'm still not sick of it. It's refreshing, cool and clean. Definately radiates some positive "energy" in my opinion.

We did our interior in Aztec White. It's really nice. Makes the woods and leather couch look great. We had pure white before and it sucked.

An acquaintance of mine painted the entire interior of his house black after his divorce.  He moved away so I lost track of him, but still scan the papers.  He must have snapped eventually.

But that isn't warm or cozy, so how about a nice Tuscan yellow?

Crap. Now I'm all confused. It might have been Navajo white.

Gloss white for the trim, and an off white or very light beige for the walls.  Going all white is a bad idea.

Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas...

Yup,  It's a nice clean look without being stark.
