XM Radio finally dumped Dr Laura from the America Right channel....

unfortunately they replaced her with the insufferable douche bag Sean Hannity.

Surely there has to be a better conservative radio personality available!

Better him than her, IMHO.

At least commercially viable conservative radio exists.

Could be worse. Imagine of the only thing we had was something like Air Ameica that can't even keep its doors open.

I agree - it was always a bit of mystery as to why she was on there in the first place.

But I won't listen to him either, so the net change is zero.

maybe Dr.Laura and Rosie can get there own show with Judge Judy in on it all are equally repulsive with guest commentary from Rush Limbaugh

Sean Hannety is a true defender of America.

Just watch his shows and he'll tell you this.

He'd be the first to put on a set of BDUs and have a go at those threats but he's much more valuable here at home giving us the true fair and balanced news.

he IS, apparently, a great American.

I heard it for myself about 40 times before locating the remote for the radio, so it must be true

If there is one thing i really do tire of, it is conservatives attacking other conservatives.

Sean Hannity, Micheal Savage, Ann Coulter, Rush, NRA, GOA, I've have seen all these attacked on this forum and thats just off the top of my head.

Sure, you may not agree with them on everything, but that is no reason to attack them. Instead of tearing ourselves apart from the inside due to internal discord, we should be happy we have such people and such outlets for conservatisim. As someone already said, at least we are not limited to something like Air America.

And for all the disparaging remarks about these people / groups I hear, It is once in a blue moon that I hear someone give a cohesive argument as to why they think the way that they do, or how to improve whatever problems they perceive about the person or group.

Case in point:
Without the NRA, there would most likley be severely draconian gun laws in America just as there are in England, But all I hear is from many of you how much the NRA sucks.
Yet, they have done more to presevre gun rights for americans than anyone here.

So next time you decide that someone doesn't live up to you standards of "Conservatism" think to your self about what that person has done to help America and then compare it to your own contribution.

It's not so much that I don't like Dr. Laura (although when she sarts her insane rants about abortion, I very quickly can't stand her) as her callers... you've never heard a bigger bunch of whining crybabies since the UAW met with the Democratic Convention.  30 seconds is enough to set my teeth on edge.

Hannity is a shill for a gun grabber and yes we know that without the NRA we would be like England. At least that is what the NRA keeps telling us.

Congratulations!!! You win the Dipshit Award!

Why would you say: "I'm not trying to sound sexist or anything, but . .  ."?

What is wrong with not liking radio chicks? I don't like them either and people need to quit subscribing to theis PC bullshit about sexist, racist, or whatever.

It's called freedom of speech and we don't have to like anyone or anything for any reason.

Hannity and Limbaugh have their heads so far up the GOP elephant's ass they can see its vocal chords.

Savage doesn't cut anyone slack, regardless of party.  He calls it as he sees it.  I don't agree with everything he says or stands for, but at least he's nobody's, or no party's, bitch.

He's an Alex Jones clone, without all the New World Order bullshit.  He finds something to bitch about, and yells at the top of his lungs about it.  When it changes, he yells about the change.

I'm convinced that if Michael Weiner could remake the world the way he wants it, he'd still get on the airwaves and bitch about it.  Why?  Because he'd get ratings.

Good point--but don't assume it's always--or even often--conservatives doing the bashing.  Anyone can register and post here.  We had a large number of DU-types register and post prior to the last several elections.  The "Sept. '04" registration date became an ongoing joke here.

Liberals aren't all frothing at the mouth--some are almost clever as they work to undermine various conservative entities--from within.

Tiresome as it is to the "normal" among us, it takes an extremist to fight an extremist. I find it is better to just skip along my merry way singing lalalalala with my fingers in my ears. Part of why these people are celebrity conservatives is because their views are so extreme (like the celebrity liberals) that they are, in someone's view, entertaining.

Yes, I know -- I am too liberal to be a conservative and too conservative to be a liberal. Talk about trying to put a square peg in a round hole!!

I'm going to disagree. Sean Hannity is an embarrassment.  Using your logic, Christians shouldn't be critical of the Jim Bakers of the world, and African-Americans shouldn't attack Jesse Jackson. Just because someones says they are a conservitive doesn't make them our ally. Hanity gets schooled by callers all the time, he doesn't have his facts lined up, he calls people names like a 6 year old and his ego is huge. He's Pro-Rudy as well, which is enough for me to dislike him.

I don't get the men who come on here and say they hate Dr. Laura.  She is Pro-gun, Pro-military, Pro-family, Pro-MEN being MEN and Anti-Whining women who complain about men.  Her last few books were road maps for women to keep their husbands happy.  From the dozens of "she left me" posts I read on here, it probably wouldn't hurt if a lot of you "happened" upon her show while driving with your wives/girlfriends.

I think many of you have never read her books and base your dislike on what her callers whine about.  Do I dislike her callers?  Yep, most of the time.  But when she sets them straight, or puts the blame where it should be, you gotta love Dr. Laura!!
