Amazing singer back in the day.  I took folk guitar lessons from her ex husband Chuck Mitchell when I was a little kid.

I guess a lifetime of smoking CAN MAYBE BE BAD FOR YOUR HEALTH.  Last time I saw her sing was the telecast of The Wall Live un Berlin, she looked like a Skeksie from the Dark Crystal and that was 25 years ago.

Hippy singer from the '60's and '70's.  Big antiwar protester.  My dad actually liked her. (Marine w/3 tours)

One of the most talented singer/musicians to come out of the "60's" IMHO. . .

Don't know if it's true, but I read somewhere that she used to visit wounded GI's during the Vietnam war period. . . .

I love Joni's music.  Sad to think of her passing away from us.

I first got into her work outside the usual radio airplay list when I heard this song as part of the soundtrack for Alice's Restaurant.  I may have it played for my funeral, like the scene in the movie.

That whole song is an homage to Joni Mitchell, even the guitar tuning.
