Goofy banking problem I sent a payment out on a loan through PNC around the 20th of last month and it still hasn't posted as cleared yet on my online bank statement. It is now the 3rd and should have been cashed or it is late on the 1st (a few days ago) So I log in to the actual PNC loan webpage (not my pnc bank statement webpage) to make an "online" payment and it shows last month is all payed up..... Now why isn't it shown as being cashed out of my account then? Judging by my bank account, the fucker got lost and is now late ![]() Judging by their loan site where they want you to pay online instead of by check, it is all payed up ![]() |

Quoted: It happens to me too. I pay a bill online a week early just to make sure it shows up. It takes days for it to show up as paid on my account. Do you get a conformation number of any kind when you pay? If you do, that's all you need to prove when you paid. No, It's different Since I paid by check, I have no proof they ever got the payment until it clears my bank account. My payment was sent plenty early and judging from last month they should have cashed it somewhere around the 27th since it is due by the 1st. I figured they were going to somehow screw me over and claim they never received it on time since it is now the 4th and still hasn't shown as cleared on my account. I have never paid online, but I figure I'd try to register my account online to see exactly what is going on and possibly pay my "late?" bill. Once I get registered and logged in it shows me all paid up and current..... Apparently they have credited my payment without ever taking any funds out of my account going on four days now. ![]() |

If you payed by check online (e-check) you should have gotten a confirmation number when the payment was accepted by their system. If you payed with a paper check the date will be stamped on the back of the check. It is paid as soon as the receiver of the check presents it for payment, when it is removed from your account has nothing to do with it. |

I figured it out I paid (mail them out) a paper check, BUT they processed the paper check electronically somehow...... Anyway....so when I log in to view my account online, I pull down the tab that shows all the checks that have cleared and GUESS WHAT? My check doesn't show up with all the other paper checks when I'm looking at specifically ONLY CHECK ACTIVITY on my account........ and I just assumed it hadn't cleared since I sent a paper check and it wasn't listed. Well if you send a paper check and they process it "electronically" , it doesn't show up online under "checks" when you look to see any account activity having to do with checks clearing. ![]() They pulled the money from my account when I mailed the check, but it isn't listed under my online check activity since they processed it electronically somehow ![]() Also, all other paper checks I send out have a scanned image available so I can see any notes I list in the subject of the check such as what account I'm paying if I happen to have multiple accounts with a vendor. BUT THE CHECKS ELECTRONICALLY PROCESSED DON'T ALLOW ME TO SEE AN IMAGE OF THE CHECK and hence I can't recall anything noted on the check such as what account I paid. ![]() If I didn't ask them to process the check electronically and send a paper check, why is it still done electronically anyway? and why isn't it listed under check activity on my account since it IS most certainly check activity when they cash the fucker ![]() |
