I helped make a website for a friend, and they aren't getting any hits, and are ranked like #34,023 in Google when searching for "Sioux Falls Construction"..... www.bidthejob.com I bet him I could up his hits by 10x over the weekend. what I need is everybody with a website to make a link to that page, you can make it white on white if you want, the more sites hotlinking it, the higher the ranking. Or, if everybody here clicks and looks around the site and gives feedback here on the thread for the concept/execution of it, it will show the hits with visit times over 2 minutes so I still win the bet on Tuesday. Help a brother out! I have several domains I can help google-spam your site in return. |
| I poked around in there a bit, but most pages make you log in. I just clicked a bunch of View Profile pages of the contractors, and on many of them the pictures don't work. Other than that it looks like an easy to navigate site, and I like just about any site that doesn't use frames. |
Yeah, that red X thing is because they want the contractors to upload pix of their work, and they aren't much good with computer stuff. Gotta figger out a better way. Not sure what they are trying to upload, Exactly, but it isn't a .gif/.jpg/.png.

Meta Tags are pretty much ignored, but they do help a bit. The biggest factor now is "How many people want to talk about YOU" for searching. Too many meta tag spammers, if you put too many words in the meta tags, they ignore all of them. This is the new way to "get ahead", since they put the kabosh on meta tags, the tags need to be found visible on the site several times, they can't just be "related words".
