I don't have an answer for you.
I just dropped in to say that I'm running the same version on an older Dell XPS M1530 laptop and it works flawlessly.
I gave up on Firefox over a year ago when I switched to Chrome and I never looked back......

It's Google!  I hate Chrome.  I have completely de-Googled my life and things are much better now.

Now that the rant is over.  I have seen Chrome have problems with lots of sites.  I have one that works just fine in IE, FireFox, Slim Browser, Safari, and others, but will not work in Chrome.  No errors, no indication why, just won't execute code.  I wish I had abetter answer for you.

Check Java for an update if it is installed on your PC. Get rid of it if you don't need it.

Now I see that it sometimes doesn't render fonts correctly, the top of the words are chopped off and it seems like it doesn't like yahoo.com either.
