the last appears to have been archived, so here we go
the ant gun message was blatant and stupid Lori Petty was a nice addition Solomon Grundy's name was mentioned before the fight |

Quoted:
I heard that too. "Guns aren't for protection they are only for one thing (killing)"
I missed the Grundy name drop. The Lori Petti character was interesting. She was done up like the joker...I wonder what that meant? basically in her case I'd say "what you see is what you get" |

I missed the Grundy name drop. The Lori Petti character was interesting. She was done up like the joker...I wonder what that meant? my initial thought was dr. harleen quinzell, but obviously that wasn't the case. i'd like to see more of her, but it might have just been a one time gig. matches malone looked and sounded familiar too, but no idea where i've seen him |

I missed the Grundy name drop. The Lori Petti character was interesting. She was done up like the joker...I wonder what that meant? when they go to see the mutants and walk in on the fight, someone yells "solomon," then a second voice yells "grundy!" like it's 2 different people or 2 different teams/gangs...streets maybe? someone had a meeting at 4th and grundy recently |

To be more specific he was a gangster that Batman fought with. Matches tried to kill Batman but the bullet fired from his (Matches) gun ricocheted and ended up killing him (matches). Batman (Bruce Wayne) ended up adopting the name and used it to infiltrate gangs to garner information without having to wear the cape and cowl. |

I almost turned the show off last night at the anti-gun comment. Aside from that it was a damn good episode. it's so pervasive i just roll my eyes and go on these days. i know at one point batman carried a 1911, but the 80's and 90's comic version was already pretty anti-gun iirc. i just learned to ignore it |

I've always wanted to buy them on DVD but they are crazy expensive. |

I only saw the last bit of it. Two things.
One, batman has always been pretty anti gun in my experience. Two, the show runner for Gotham is the same guy who did the mentalist. A guy who comes across as a smug prick who thinks he is way smarter than he is. Who knows didly squat about guns. I don't watch it very often. Doesn't make much sense and doesn't hold a candle to the animated series. On the first episode they said that Thomas and Martha Wayne were killed with a bronze heavy wadcutter bullet. Or something like that. Then the characters said that bullet doesn't exist or cost $5 a shot. Well which is it Einstein? Does it not exist or cost $5 a shot? |

Then when Grace started calling for the kids and he was all like, "Yeah, they're not coming." that was when I realized he killed them. |
