| Ground turkey was on sale. Anyone have any recipes I can try? I usually do pasta or a chili type thing... |

Ground turkey fajitas (or even just split turkey breast) are pretty damn good actually. Especially with some cajun seasoning. Another thing is turkey burgers... 1 pound ground turkey 1/2 cup finely chopped onion 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro 1 chipotle chile in adobo sauce, finely chopped 1 teaspoon garlic powder 1 teaspoon onion powder 1 teaspoon seasoned salt 1/4 teaspoon black pepper 4 slices pepper jack cheese 4 hamburger buns, split and toasted Mix all the meat and seasoning together, grill until medium (no pink in the center). I love hamburgers, but these are different and pretty good. Honestly anything that is spicy will work great with the ground turkey. |
Agreed. Put it in stuff where it can take the flavor of the spices/sauce used because it is pretty boring if it is the dominant flavor. I recently put some in chili and loved it. |
and if you want the sauce to still taste "beefy" then add some beef/veal stock/demi glace. |
