Cool stuff.

While walking the dogs this morning I found out I have some wood ducks nesting in a tree next to my pond.

Wood ducks have to be the most beautiful waterfowl there is.

Used to have a bunch (gaggle?) of geese when I was little. Far more effective than dogs. Noisy as hell, never miss a thing, and bite like a sonofabitch. Still have scars on my legs....and my mind.... I flinch every time I see one of those monsters.

Do either of the ducks pretend to read newspapers, but peer over the sides occasionally? What about following you down dead-end roads? If you're driving, do you feel like you're being followed?

There's a lot of badass looking waterfowl. The Asian Duck, Hooded Merganser, Eared Grebe...

I could keep going.
