My girlfriend passed away last Dec. I'm trying to get guardianship of her son as she told everyone, including her family that she wanted me to be his guardian. There was no will or living trust. Everything was agreed upon and ok....until she died. Now grandma wants to be co-guardian.

My question is if we did the co-guardian thing she will be entitled to pay half the cost to raise him correct?

I would talk to a lawyer.

I don't think that would necessarily be the case unless the guardianship papers specified that.
