I carry a s&w 442 performance center daily.
Several years ago I carried an M&P bodyguard .380 with Barnes tac-xpd ammo. I had to kill a deer I hit with my car that broke it's back. I had to empty two magazines into it to kill it. The projectiles barely penetrated the skin. I sold the gun shortly thereafter. Not a big fan of .380

Friday, I picked up a holster for my Bodyguard 2.0. The maker said half his orders are for that gun.

Who did the work?

Vulcan Machine Werks. They did a G43 slide for an EPS Carry at the same time.

This. All handguns are underperformers, and I'd rather carry more underperformers (10+1 & a 12rd reload) than fewer.

They pop right out of station 2 on the XL650 when I try to prime them. Set them aside and add ‘em to the .380 bucket. If that’s our only problem, we got no problem.

I’m over 400 rounds thru the bg 2.0. Awesome gun that shoots like a bigger gun

My cold start drill is the 52 card round up. 5 rounds on a playing card from 5 yards in under 5 secs. I average just under 4s

I consider 38 and 380 as up close belly guns. Point and shoot. LCP Max 10+1 is better than 5 38+. Friend of mine bleed out in less than 2 minutes from a 380….shot placement. Mostly, I just want to stop who ever is attacking me. 11 is better than 5.

The .38 Special does an excellent job of icing pedos on national TV

If you take the time to find ammo that shoots to the sights a snub nose can shoot well at reasonable self defense ranges

LCR Rimfire in LR or Magnum is better than most for older women to actually use.

With practice they shoot well at unreasonable self defense range too.

I’ll probably shoot a Doe this year during late season, from my archery spot, with .38Special. I’m having plenty come in to handgun range
