A girl in my RN class read me an email she got today about requiring Americans to list all of their firearms on their tax return this spring and being charged a $50 tax per gun. Two things struck me about this. First, everyone in my class agreed that if this was true it was bullshit and they all claimed they were not going to list their guns. Second, everyone in my class owns a gun or is married to a guy that owns guns. Weird, I figured besides the one other dude in my class I thought I was going to school with a bunch of libtards.
So, since I am out of the arfcom loop these days, fill me in boys. Anybody heard of this new (to me) "tax law"??? |

Dupe de dupe. Hell, even the NRA has discussed this dupe in thier newsletter.
Clearing Up the Rumors: The Truth About The "Gun Tax Bill" Over the past few months, NRA-ILA has received hundreds of e-mails warning us about "SB-2099," a bill that would supposedly require you to report all your guns on your income tax return every April 15. Like many rumors, there's just a grain of truth to this one. Someone is recycling an old alert, which wasn't even very accurate when it was new. |
