Assuming someone here actually possesses evil firearms,, does anyone have their safe in their garage or basement or any place where temperature and moisture build-up might be a concern??

An insulated heated garage or basement shouldn't be a problem and a dehumidifier can solve moisture problems.

since repitable safes are sealed when closed, a golden rod or one of the decissant cans,  two if needed will take care of normal humidity problems

Mine is in the garage since it wont fit through the doors of my house

Not when maintained properly, Since my current one has three main chambers with one divided into three more, I use three seperate units and recharge them each month. Humidity in the summer here is in the 90+ range and have used them for two years now in an uninsulated garage with no problems.

In the process of choosing another safe  to use for firearms only and the orig one for accessories, ammo not stored in ammo cans, and reloading supplies
