I am looking for a top quality gun safe to store the obvious, however, I want a safe that has top rated fire resistance. My intent is to store documents, computer hard disks, other valuables in addition to gun hardware. Opinions, experience and recommendations welcome.

Thanks in advance!

Gun safes are typically not designed for document protection, because for fireprotection you need thick walls lots of insullation and they are too heavy to move. Gun owners want maximum storage volume not 8" thick firewalls.

I would suggest a Ft. Knox top of the line and then maybe a small firebox inside for stuff you really can't let burn.

Or the bank would be glad to keep your papers in a safe deposit box for $50/year.

computer hard disks& other digital storage media need much more fire protection than a gun safe can offer. Your best bet is to get a very tall (High quality) gun safe & install a small fire safe inside it, The 72" tall Fort Knox safes come to mind.
