I'm  not looking to invest in over $500.00 at this time but plan to in three years later. But for now i"m looking for something kind of cheap ($200.00 - 500.00 range)

All I could find is the Sentry 10-gun for $250.00 at Wally WorldSafe link  and the Stack-On stuff, there any other manufactors out there that you know of that isn't fire protected?

I actually got a stack on safe locally from a gun shop.  It is a suprisingly nice safe, the new ones are MUCH nicer than the old, and still very affordable.

Homak has cheap stuff to keep casual, prying hands away.

Keep an eye on Craigslist.  Sometimes, you may catch someone moving that's selling a safe because it'd be a pain in the ass for them to take it with them.

Read this as well as the links listed after the article, if you still plan on just a cheap safe, I'd just get a cheap stackon cabinet and save up for a nice safe in the future.

Take a look at www.auction-arms.com

I saw some deals on safes there last week.

I would get a construction gang box before a stack on.  You need to look at them though. Lowes carries one that has crappy lock bars.      Home Depot has a Rigid brand that looks pretty good. Bolt it to the wall, floor take off the wheels. and its more secure than the cabinet type safes

Look into Sturdy Safe Brand. Very good safes at a great price. Much more heavy duty then Liberty, Ft. Knox, Browning ect. I spent a bundle on a vault and after researching every vault door on the market I decided the Sturdy Safe was the best:
