link EAST LIVERPOOL, Ohio — A homeowner and a robber are both in the hospital following a home invasion and shooting overnight Saturday in East Liverpool, according to authorities. Police said Robert A. Ross, 24, entered an apartment at East Eighth Street with a gun about 12:27 a.m. and demanded money from the victim. The homeowner, 47, confronted Ross, which led to a shot fired into the homeowner's torso, detectives said. Three others were inside the home at the time and subdued the robber by striking him in the head with a baseball bat. A 21-year-old man was pistol-whipped in the head by Ross in the process, police said. The homeowner was taken to a hospital for trauma, and Ross is in a Pittsburgh hospital with a skull fracture, officers said. Their injuries aren't believed to be life-threatening. Ross faces a felony charge of robbery with a deadly weapon. Detectives said their K-9 officer found a small amount of marijuana inside the home. |

The article doesnt say what type of K9 it was nor does it say if it was the dog that found it. The K9 officer may have been working partol and responded to the call...but lets just jump to conclusions. That didn't take long.... Cops never do things to innocent people. |

I am not defending anyone, quite frankly there is nothing to defend unless you have any information that isn't in the article. Everything else is purely speculation. Edited to fix some off wording that will likely be misinterpreted by those who are doing the same to the article. |
