The Brady bunch is crying the blues. They have admitted that the gun lobby is too strong, even in today's administration. Heck, we just got Obama to sign a law in our favor, just a few days ago! It's legal to carry, loaded, in national parks now. Beyond any doubt. (Once the law takes effect, that is.) As of this moment, since the inauguration, we haven't lost ONE gun law battle. NOT ONE. We HAVE won some. CJ |

I think right now they don't need a gun ban when people can't get any ammo.
When ammo production starts keeping up with demand, then they'll really want a gun ban. But as previous posters said, wait until the second term, if he gets one. Provided there is a next election. The Obamunist may declare the US in a state of emergency and cancel elections, making himself "El Presidente for Life". |
Right now public opinion is on our side, so gun rights are safe for the moment, even with Obama in charge. But who knows what will happen to the future? Hell, if the democrats keep on going with a pro-gun stance, the republicans might go the opposite way instead. God knows how supportive they've been of our gun rights, there've been more than enough politicians with an "R" next to their names who have no trouble banning guns just as gladly as a "D".

I'm 100% sure they have a real itch to ban guns.. I really don't see them scratching that itch anytime soon.. I did hear about people wanting to ban what the left calls sniper rifles.. They pretty much consider anything with a scope on it a "sniper rifle".. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

No political will to get it done. Why would Obama waste his "political capital" on this when he could very easily lose that fight. Thus, his administration would be weakened by failing to pass it. If an AWB was on his desk. He couldn't reach inside his desk to find a pen fast enough to sign it. In Illinois, he voted in favor of EVERY SINGLE gun restriction that was ever on the floor of any legislature he was in. He just doesn't want to risk going after gun control right now, when it is very unpopular and lose. |
