My dad tells me I can have a gunsafe he keeps in his garage.  He says he has a hard time opening it, but he knows the combo, he's just not good at dialing it in correctly.  Okay, so he says "it's yours if you can open it."  So I go over there today, with the combo he gave me, and for the life of me I can't get this damned thing unlocked.  The weird thing is, this is a 2 digit combination lock.  WTF?  I've never heard of only 2 numbers.  I thought there were usually at least 3.

First number is 0
Second number is X (x being something between 0 and 100)

Manufacturer is "pro-steel security vaults"

How in the f*** do I do this?

Call them and ask for the owner's manual.

Spin the dial counterclockwise several times and then stop at zero. Turn it one complete turn clockwise and then continue rotating the dial till you stop at X.

If that doesn't work, start over by spinning it clockwise several times and then stop at zero. Turn it counterclockwise one complete revolution and continue rotating it till you stop at X.

If that doesn't work, there must be a number missing.

Have your dad open it while you watch.

I forgot to mention this:

There are two marks around the dial.  There is one mark directly at 12:00 like all other safes I've seen.  But this one has another mark at about 10:30.

The second mark-not in the middle- is used to set a combination

Try the descending sequence(that is how mine is)

Twice around the first time then once and then to the last number

Is that make any sense?

Good luck
