I'm looking at an Elite.  As I understand, the HDMI connection carries audio and visual signal in one pipe.
My HD TV has no audio out connections.  If I use the HDMI (and I would like to) from the Elite to my TV, it would seem that I will no longer have surround sound.
I generally route the audio connections from the sat/cable receiver, 360, and DVD player through my home theater system.
So, if I use the HDMI am I screwed on the sound?

Does the Elite not have an optical out like the other 360s?  I know on the Premium system, the optical out is incorporated into the audio/video plug.

Completely forgot about the optical.  Guess I'll pick an optical cable up when I get my Elite.

And, the Elite comes with CABLES!  All kinds of cabling solutions are provided in the box.  So, yeah, you can get it hooked up to just about any comibination of inputs.  (Although, sadly, no s-video jacks came in the box...heh)
