So, I just got sued to the tune of 68 thousand dollars. Short story: opened a gun business, turns out my partner was worthless (Mitchell with Khalan Weaponry FYI). Business closed down, but after we'd gotten a HAAS TM-1p. I was told the mill was returned, and the lease canceled out. This was not true, and now they say they have not even gotten the mill back. Any CA lawyers who can help me respond to this suit? I know it will cost money, which I can't really afford, but I can afford it more than the 68k they say I owe.
I figure I have to settle, I'm pretty sure they've got me dead to rights, they've made a few mistakes, but I doubt that will get me off (they claim they've contacted me, but they have not, I suspect contacting the company counts as contacting me, etc). Anyone in the AK area know Mitchell, and willing to get him to talk to me? I have not been able to contact him, and we need to get the mill returned, if it hasn't somehow vanished. Any hints/suggestions/knowledge I can use? Thanks in advance. |
