I am currently in the running with a new job! and am all set to travel for my face to face next week for interviews. meanwhile the HR manager and I have been exchanging emails and all has been REALLY good.
So, coming into work this morning I see in my email account that I have been hacked, or have a virus (something) and an ad for an internet viagra sales got sent out to ALL the people in my contact list-INCLUDING the HR Manager!. Is something I should contact her about? I have now changed all passwords etc. And I really really want this job! But I don't want to appear to be a freak either. so what would you do? |

I would drop an email from a reputable email line, current work email, ISP email, etc.
I would explain in detail who you are, and the circumstances of the hacking. Make it clear that you can no longer communicate with the old email. I sure hope you were using a proper (ISP or otherwise) email account. I'd hate to be trying for a job using hotmail or yahoo or something. Seems unprofessional. |
