| I have a question regarding the heating system in my apartment. I have a independent heater (i.e heats only my apartment). The heater went out a few months ago and it seems that there is a problem with it in terms of time delay. Basically when the heater or whatever kicks on, it blows cold air out of the vents then after a few minutes you feel the heated air. It appears that the fan is kicking on way too soon. Is this an easy problem to fix or more difficult? |
| Typically the thermostat can be configured to call for the blower when the heat is initiated or set to allow the heat relay bring in heat before the blower via a timed delay or sequencer. Your setting is probably demanding the G call at the same moment as the W call. |
On typical in a closet apartment heaters the control board controls the fan when a there's a call for heat , not a signal from g on the stat. Typically g is only used during cooling ( y goes to outdoor unit g goes to board for fan) when in auto, and of course if its put in the on position. Can you get the make and model?
Is this gas or heatpump/electric backup? |
