Good news Halo fans, Microsoft lands big name for 'Halo' movie! Director Peter Jackson from the Lord Of The Rings trilogy & the upcoming “King Kong,” will serve as executive producer of a movie based on Microsoft’s blockbuster “Halo” video game.The movie is to be shot entirely in New Zealand! Universal Pictures and 20th Century Fox, the companies behind the project, hope to be in production in the spring with an eye for a summer 2007 worldwide release. No director is attached, though one is expected to come aboard shortly. Jackson’s New Zealand-based Weta companies will provide creatures, miniatures and visual effects for the production! |
| First of all, HALO is one of the greatest things invented in this new century. Second, not all videogame movies suck, both of the Resident Evil movies kicked ass! If Jackson does HALO properly, and he probably will, it will be exceptional. Besides, who wouldn't want to be the Master Chief? |

It's a Sci-Fi kinda video game. First person shooter. You're a robot/enhanced-human thing that goes around blowing shit up. People seem to think it's some kind of God-like apparition of majestic storytelling, but it's really not. |
To each his own. For the record it takes a lot for me not to like a movie. |
