Do they work well ? Would it be fast enough for 25 lawn accounts a week ? Or should i get a gas edger ? My weedwacker has a rotating head that ive been using, but it sure burns up the line fast.

The volume your doing, I would go for the gas powered.

I still have a hand edger in my shed. The one with the rubber wheel and the star cutting blades. That thing sucks, too much damn work, especially if the edging hasn't been done in a while. It's easily a two hour ordeal for the average sized yard.

I don't know what kind of weed eater you have, but most of them nowadays have interchangeable attachments.  I bought the edger one for $60 or so and it works great. From reading the side of the box, the attachments seem to be pretty universal.

I would not recommend buying the hand edger.

Its been my experience that with regard to lawn implements, an internal-combustion engine is far superior to other power sources.
