I'm looking for a hadnheld GPS that I can also use in the car. My budget is approx. $200. Can you guys give me some recommendations either positive or negative to help me narrow my research.

I sold GPSs for a while. Up your budget to get a Garmin 60CX and add another $100 for mapping software. If you are going to do it, do it right.

Let me add more info. I would like one to use while hiking so I need it to work well in the woods where it may have a heavy canopy. In the more urban setting I would like it to help me find a restaurant.

+1  You can even skip the s and just get the 60cx.  Awesome units.
