I am looking at the handheld vibrating multi-tools - Rockwell, dremil, Fein, and Harbor Freight have them.. It appears that you can sand, cut metal/wood/plastic, and scrape; using the correct blade of course
who has one.. did you like it.. is it worth it.. My current usage is cutting the bottom of wallboard just a tad for hardwood flooring installation but I think it would also do well scraping the mower deck.. HF has one theirs on sale ($24 constant speed and $49 for variable speed) right now.. Lowes has the Rockwell for ~$90 (21 piece kit) - Thoughts on your use? disadvantages?? brian |

FIL got me the varible speed one from Harbor Freight.
Power button seemed cheap, almost thought it didn't work. I have NO CLUE what the hell I am going to use it for. But I know if I get rid of it the next time he is over he will see something and tell me to "go grab that multi-tool so I can take care of XYZ over here." |
| I have the Ridgid Jobmax with 4 of the 5 heads for it( everything but the ratchet) I bought it last spring to use in a bunch of small jobs around the house, so far, it's worked great. I got the combo deal they had at Home Depot with the 12v drill, the Jobmax handle, the multitool head with accessories, the autohammer head, 2 batteries, a charger and a bag. for $199. Then I got the impact driver head and the drill/driver head later. We'll see how it holds up over time. |
