Tried that once. 10 guys humping an M2, MK-19 and TOW system, complete with tripods and ammo, spare barrels, gun mounts, IBA, M4s w/basic load, etc. We made it about 3 miles before people started passing out. That's 200+ lbs per guy. You're talking over 100lbs with just with an M2 alone.

I assume the FARC rebel is in very hilly jungle terrain?

Back in the day I could have done it for 3-5 miles on open terrain. But having humped the jungle on Subic...Man, that would BUST yer ballz!
