Looks like fun but I don't suppose I need one because I have a Blackstone and a couple of woks. Since I use one on both types of cookware, I would think an infrared thermometer would be a handy thing to have.

It's a disco, what you cook on it is called a discada. Well that's what we call it, sirloin cubes, bacon, chorizo, jalapeños, onions, splash of beer, cilantro, mushrooms, chipotle and some garlic salt. Best when cooked over wood fire and tortillas warmed up on the edges. Yum, yum get you some!

Yeah it seems pretty niche but pretty amazing at the role it fills I like purpose in tools, which I think is why I'm drawn to this. Like if I just cook tacos only I'll be happy |

It seems ok for someone that wants to take it places to set up and feed several people. It literally does the exact same thing as a flat top griddle like a Blackstone except this is a wok. Some of the pics in this thread looks to be carbon steel instead of cold rolled steel

I would like to make one! Lots of used blades around here? But I have 99.9% no welding skills, or equipment.

There was a member here from Texas that used to make em, but can't remember his screen name. They were badass but pricey!

I'm intrigued.
But with a Blackstone and giant Wok already I'm wondering what this does besides adding another piece of cooking ware to take up space. |

We bought one to take camping but we never use it now.

Since I'm clearly not using this day to day, I'm guessing the play is to just get the most giant one possible

Drinking fire gets bros and bullshit.
I shovel off hot coals from that into a secondary cooking area and use that well established charcoal to do cooking. I have even done this with a full chicken. Just find two y shaped sticks, another stick with a right angle, boom you have a rotisserie |

Usually a few of those going when we have a proper matanza (shoot pig before sun up, and drink all day)

We used ours at scouts when cooking over a campfire, it worked pretty well for scrambled eggs and bacon, and hamburgers, everyone loved when we brought it.
