Our reseident BBQ/Smoking expert.
I have not seen him post in a while, I always liked to read his postings and what he was cooking. |

He danced on his dick with cleats.
Lost another long time member, Lug1 in that particular drama. |

I follow him on Instagram. Someday I hope to dine at his restaurant.
We are diminished. One more reason I won’t pay for a membership. |

You can google him, he's on a BBQ forum, but not sure how much he posts. It's been a couple of months since that drama went down.

If you get baited into getting yourself banned you're either too stupid or too hot headed to post on the internet.

I miss the old Arf. We had thicker skins. (or they got to fight it out in the pit.)

I used to throw around memberships like candy. I won't say what happened. But it happened. |

He did. I dont_care for the other user but it was a death by a thousand cuts kind of deal. Eventually being cheeky does become trollish. Cheers to quigs. Next time I'm out in WIS we will have a beer or 4 together. |

Now there is a name I haven’t heard in a long time.
I honestly wish him well, I liked him. |

They should make timeouts a thing before bans. I don't know who this guys was or what he did, but imagine if he had a 24hr, 7-day, or 30-day timeout. He would still be here and everything would be fine. Of course, banning would ultimately still be an option.
Instead, I bet $100 that guy is still here just under a new account. |

As has been mentioned him and Lug got the hammer around the same time.
Wierd though, I thought I saw Lug post somewhat recently and he was welcomed back by someone who responded to his post? Maybe I'm misremembering. |

I found out via M4C...realized I hadn't seen him post here in a while...
ETA - We should get a sticky at the top of GD that informs us of all the banned people and why |

Quoted: Lol. No He got banned. Period. End of story. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted: Quoted: IIRC He got goaded into getting himself a ban. Lol. No He got banned. Period. End of story. Wrong. I like the guy but he did earn it. From the old threads, the quoted post was from DKprof, I added/corrected the hat origin though that doesn't matter, good ol' quig flew too close to the sun much like icarus. "Quoted: Quig made his choice, and he knew exactly what he was doing. He had a long list of warnings for trolling/attacking that specific member. He had been told to stop (after multiple account warnings). He then changed his sig line to troll that member. He was told to stop. He then changed his avatar to troll that member. As a result, he was locked, and was told that ANY more trolling of that kind would result in his permanent ban. Apparently, while he was locked he has a hat custom made to troll the other member, and makes sure to include it in a dinner pic after he came back from his ban - which is precisely the kind of thing he was explicitly told would get him banned. I guess he thought he was being clever, just like he presumably thought he was being clever to use his sig line and avatar. He could have stopped at any time. He could have stopped after the first warning. He could have stopped after the second warning. He could have stopped after he was told to stop using his sig line. He would have stopped after he was locked for using his avatar. At every step of the way, he could just have stopped - but he made the deliberate choice to keep going, every time. All he needed to do was ignore the guy, and everyone could have enjoyed his threads about BBQ and everything else - but he insisted on getting himself banned over some dumb internet dispute, by continuing to do the exact thing he had told would get him banned." *the hat was a gift* |
