Has the USA ever fought a war on its own without help from any other nation?

Can we win a war on our own with no help?

And any number of invasions and actions and whatnot in the Caribbean and Latin America.

We did pretty well fighting the French.

Of course, that was only a quasi-war.

The US has not done so well in the last 70 with allies either.
So it’s more about the will to win and engage in total war, no matter who’s on your side.

In any conflict the US is the major player and includes others just for appearances.

We no longer fight wars. We fight protracted Military Industrial Complex sustainment actions.

Grenada, like several of our recent wars, involved token “help” from allies recruited for political reasons.

Civil War was an "L."

Another question: Has the US ever fought a war that was not at the behest of bankers/crony business?

Answer is in the back of this (free) book.

the better question, is would any of them have turned out differently without the allies?

We'll always use allies and assets.  But most of the "wars" we get involved in are intended to "assist" someone else. So it's their war to lose.

Nope, we had Caribbean allies for that one.

Panama is the only one I can think of since I've been alive.

Yes, but we quit winning wars when we decided to win hearts and minds instead of putting bullets in them.  You win the hearts and minds after you have achieved total victory by being merciful victors.

It's sad that the irony of all the stuff the North did in Congress after the war to punish the South was lost on the men at the time. They never once thought that could be turned around on them. Then again that is where Big Gov got it's start to be honest.
