Found out yesterday that we will focus on helo insertions this year as part of of training.  Frankly, I've never been in one, let alone rappeled from one.  Any tips on what to expect or tips on how to survive  It will be straight up rigged gear, no fast roping.

I've gone down quite a few rock faces and about every water tower in the Chicago area.  Just never out of a helo.

As far as riding goes, just trust the helicopter like you would trust your climbing gear. After that, its just like a car ride with a better view. I know nothing about jumping out of them though.
