I'm at the end of my rope with this problem. computer #1 seems to be ok but will not find #2.  with #2 i'm getting a " limited or no connectivity" warning. thinking something might be wrong with the onboard lan, i installed a network card i had laying around.no change, same warning. then i bought a new hub, once again no change. i've tried turning off my firewalls and rerunning the setup wizard.nothing changes. any Ideas ??? thank you. Kirk

I don't have much time right now, but can you post more about your network setup, like i have 2 computers hooked up to a linksys router that connects to a cable modem. That would help us a lot, ill look for a reply tomarrow, unless you get it fixed before then.

Thanks

Internet Connection Sharing is notoriously fragile.  One can fret over many hours of configuring it...reconfiguring it...rerunning the wizards.  After it dies, you can redo everything and bring it up again.  If you're on DHCP for each computer, you can go static LAN IP's which will likely work.  If you're on static, switching back to DHCP is a common fix.

If you accept that ICS is inherently unstable and you choose to just say no, you're life will be much more peaceful.

Exactly what i was going to say, and you are sharing a dial up connection right? No Broadband? You can buy dial up routers, but i think they are a bit pricy.

Thanks guys. I work 2nd shift so I’m not on here till late. I switched the computers around and it seems whatever comp. is in the #2 position, it has limited or no connectivity. I've had problems before and have always been able to work them out. This time I’m confused. I know it's not a hardware problem as I have changed hubs and tried network card instead of the onboard LAN. Can you give me a walkthrough on some setting I can try? Thanks. Kirk

LOL  Sorry for the hijack.  Just ignore me.  Hope you get your network up and running.  These guys are good and should be able to get you up and running.

Hmm, well do you have a switch or a hub? How many ports does the switch/hub have?
