I'm getting involved in the latest Arfcom Weight Loss Challenge. I just bought a really nice treadmill and I have a nice Bowflex machine, so I have the tools. What I need is some help figuring out a workout schedule. Should I alternate daily between strength training on the bowflex and aerobic work on the treadmill? Should I be doing both in the same day? What's the best way to combine the two to maximize what will really amount to one workout a day combined with diet to lose about 47 lbs. |
If you do your cardio, as soon as you wake up, prior to eating - it will accelerate your metabolism all day long. You'll want to do cardio around 5 days a week if you want to slim down. You can bowflex 4-5 times a week too depending on how you split up your routines. GOOD LUCK!

| I've tried both eating about 30 minutes before my morning workout and not eating anything before my work out. Can't really tell any difference. I'm doing a solid 45 minute weight loss routine on the treadmill every day (but Sunday), and working out on the Bowflex every other day. I was a sore SOB for a couple of days, but my body is catching up. |
