Looking for something for EDC.

Should be large enough to fit a lightweight jacket,
smartphone, perhaps a camera and/or binoculars.

Should not be more than 4-5" thick.

Any ideas?

Dakine makes awesome sheepleflage packs, I have a few and they've all been well made, smartly laid out, and durable.

Mystery Ranch is still making good stuff.

I've got a Kletterworks pack that is kind of a throwback to their older designs with modern stuff like a laptop sleeve. It's not a gigantic backpack with a bunch of tactical stuff hanging off of it.

Well, worn straight on the shoulder might make it look like a purse.

Wearing a digital camoflauge 45 degress across the back makes it
a tactical sling pack.

Ive been really impressed with the durability of my red rock pack, as well as a couple friends'. i use mine for a range bag, and it often gets loaded down with full magazines and heavy stuff.

OP, looking for something covert? Get one of those swiss-branded bookbag/laptop backpacks that Best Buy carries (cheaper elsewhere). I have one that is 10yo and still in perfect shape. Very durable.

Something tacticool? Check out Spec-Ops brand.  Expensive but durable.
