I hate to ask, but I am computer challenged.

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PAID MEMBERSHIP.

I might lose team status for a week or two (maybe), and I don't want to lose what is stored in My Subscriptions. Is there some way to take a screen shot that catches ALL of it?

If so, how?

I'm running Vista and Internet Explorer 7 or 8 or who the hell knows. I don't have Office, because Dell didn't provide the disk I need to activate Office.

I don't know diddly about creating folders or accessing them, just how to check my e-mails and surf the web.

Can anyone help a Luddite out?

I don't want "log out and log back in". I don't want charity. I can buy a membership soon. Just might not be soon enough. My Subscriptions is mostly threads I have collected over the years that I want to reference in the future.

Can anyone explain what I should do? Pretend I'm a sixth grader. No big words.

Perhaps you could bookmark the threads in your browser?
Once you renew your subscription, the links should be valid.

The bookmark idea might be the most convenient to use.

But, since you brought up screen shots, google up and download a program called SnagIt.  You can take huge screenshots of scrolled browser windows or anything else.  It is a pay-to-use program but has a Free trial (was a full feature 30 day trial last time I used it).  But once you know that you want that, you might be able to find some very similar freeware.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the suggestions.
It didn't occur to me that I could put the threads in my "favorites".
(I have some OLD threads in my favorites already  )

That will work just fine.
Thanks. It's a bitch when half your brain cells have packed up and left.

Poor man's way.

Open subscriptions.

Manipulate browser window to display the page, and a folder you have created.

Drag the little icon from the browser (up near the arfcom address) to the folder.

This makes a "shortcut" file that you can later double click on.

You may have to rename each one if the title of the page isn't the title of the thread.

No software to install or other BS involved.
