He is deployed right now but he still assigned to me. AF does not always deploy as a unit. He is currently helping out the Army (ILO: In Lieu Of tasking) so he is not under my direct supervision for the next 5 1/2 months. I'm still state side. You usually need a valid reason to get a AKO account, like being assinged to an Army unit. I'm AF and not attached to a Army unit and do not have a valid reason to get a account. All I needed was a email account. He is not coming up on the AF global because he is attached to a Army unit. Your link takes me to a article on some hackers from Russia. A NIPPR email is not classified. Doesn't matter anyway because I just found out he does not have a AKO account. Thank you for your concern. |

To the Op, if you know what unit he is in try getting in contact with their unit state side. Not everyone out of an Army unit deploys, if that fails see if you can find the FRG for the group, the wives are usually really help full. Thanks. I have a friend of a friend in Kabul looking him up for me. I did have his unit over there but he was re-tasked at the last min and his old unit tasking does not know where he went to. Gotta love it.
