When you pull into an apartment complex and jump out to yell at a bunch of kids, please remember to place your shift in the "Park" position, lest you find your patrol car nosed into an apartment building.

One of the funniest things I ever saw so far as a Cop is when Me and another unit get disp for a B/E alarm at a gas station at 0330. I have never been to this place for a false alarm but have been there for numerous B/E's and attempts. they have an excellant video system due to that fact.

Well we get there and sure as shirt a big picture window is busted out of the front and a guy comes tumbling out and runs. Well the chase is on and we end up catching and fighting with him (he ends up getting 30 yards for that B/e, the one 2 nights prior and an Attempt RA there the week before)

Well he takes him back to his car and transportes him to the station and I stay on scene for the owner and to back track the chase route.

Owner gets there and I ask to see the video for evidence and as we are watching the tape you see us pull up, the guy run and us chase. About 15 seconds later you see my buddies car idle pass the camera and dock itself in a snow bank!!!!!!!!!!!! Me and owner (who I have gotten to know over the years) about piss ourselves as we keep watching it over and over.

The best part is when the other officer gets back to his car and finds it in the snow back he looks around to see if anyone is around. The suspect looks like he starts laughing and the my partner gets realllllll pissed and "helps" him into the back seat. He denied all of this until I giggled and showed him the tape back at the office.

Always gotta put it in park, LMAO
