Did you have to do an essay for your nursing application?  I have to submit my application by Mid Jan for fall 06 and am having trouble finishing the essay.  It can be a max of 2 pages and the subject is "Describe how a defining event or experience has significantly affected you and led you to choose a nursing career. How will you personally enhance nursing as a profession as a result of your experiences."

Any suggestions?

If anyone would be willing to review it and make some commnets, I could email you what I have thus far.

I was on the ward and there was this handsome gynecologist.  He smiled at me and I met him in a private room.  After the joys that he showed me, I knew I was destined to become a nurse to serve and follow the orders of my beloved gyno.

Thats a quote from one of my female nurse friend's essay.

Seriously though, OP, you first need to sit and brainstorm about life experiences you have had.

Start with a blank sheet of paper and just sketch out ideas.  Do not try to write the essay at this time (although it should already be done by now )
