So is the Big 10 still a second rate conference? |
|
Quoted: Easily. One game, one year does NOT a conference make. Not to mention Meyer got his chops while at Florida. Quoted: Quoted: So is the Big 10 still a second rate conference? Easily. One game, one year does NOT a conference make. Not to mention Meyer got his chops while at Florida. |

The two newcomers are the only SEC teams to win bowl games this year, right? Well, there is always hope for Tennessee to bring up the rear.
As for the B1G, they still have a lot of work to do, but I would be holding (or maybe selling) the SEC and buying the B1G if they were stocks. I always believe its about coaching and right now there is a coaching swing occurring in the Big Ten with Meyer, Dantonio, Harbaugh, Franklin, etc. |

If you're going to talk shit about the sec at least get your facts right. |

It's been much more competitive thanks to the NFL raping the SEC of so many underclassmen. Underclassmen by round in this draft: 14 in the first round, 18 in the second, eight in the third, nine in the fourth, five in the fifth, three in the sixth and four in the seventh. LSU had six underclassmen selected; Alabama had four, and Clemson, Florida State, Notre Dame and Stanford had three each For the fourth year in a row, the SEC had the most first-round draftees, with 11. It's also the fourth year in a row the league has had double-digit picks in the first round. Only one other conference has had even eight in the first round in that span (the Big 12 twice, with nine in 2010 -- when it had the most first-rounders -- and eight in 2011). I'm an LSU fan we've had a shit load of guys leave early in the last two years, but we'll be back, enjoy your time. |

Lol...I started the thread a week ago while the media was fellating Bama...Paul Finebaum was on espn basically saying that bama shouldn't even have to play this game...my sarcasm didnt translate well |

LSU, Aurburn, Alabama, Ole Miss and Miss St. all lost....good job West... Tennessee vs Iowa today (GBO!) Florida vs Eastern Carolina tomorrow. |

I guess after 9 years of National Championship appearances... I was told the big 10 would never see a championship appearance again once playoffs were instituted. Also I'm not sure why one team's performance 8 years ago makes them best now...been told for a while that tradition is shit results NOW are all that matters by SEC! Sec!! SEC !!! fanbois. Sec teams were clearly overrated this year...again. But we shouldn't let facts impact our opinions... |

I would never agree with that. re: SEC, this was a weird year. I knew from the start that Ole Miss and State wouldn't have enough composure or juice to make it til the end in the strides they started. as a Vol (and not looking past today by any means...) I'm excited about where we are going to be next year |

Arkansas will be another one to watch out for next year. They finished up the season really well. |

You need to look a little more. Wisc-Auburn, MSU-Baylor. SEC is good but just another conference. B1G is looking good this year. I did look. Big 10 is 5-4 in bowl games. The SEC is 5-5. UT did their part by thumping the shit out of Iowa despite missing their All-SEC safety. |

The most impressive part of the win over Bama by OSU is the fact that this was their QB's 2nd start, of all time. Major props to that kid and the Buckeyes. I'm not a buckeye fan but I think that's awesome. I know so many people that would slob braxton millers knob and they didn't think this kid would do anything and he beat some ass. |

And from watching the game you would have thought it was exactly the other way around. Don't recall the Ohio dude throwing directly to the other guys......... Major props to the OH QB and his team: They came to play football! Bama came to.... punt. Well that, and a couple touchdowns off of turnovers. Other than that, pfffft! The only good thing about yesterday as a Bama fan was the major ass whooping OR put on the assholes from Tallahassee. Fucktards didn't even have the class to congratulate their opponents. |

.....so?
