Quoted: Once my finances stabilize again, I'm gonna send you a care package with a tri tip, pinquito beans and some Suzy Q seasoning. Quoted: Quoted: I want a Santa Maria Tri-Tip so fucking bad, right now. There is no decent tri-tip in Ohio. You can get close by talking to a butcher (and telling him how to cut it), but it's still not the same.

Quoted: Don't wait for your finances to stabilize. Give me a price. Include shipping. You'll have the money - paypal, cashiers check, money order, Chase InstaPay, cash in an envelope, discrete PMAGS mailed to your neighbor's door in... Nevada...whatever you want. I'll have to find a local dry ice place and a good, insulated container. Give me a day or two and I'll work up the price and shipping time. Stuff has gotten pricey. It's up around $7.50 a pound now. |

FWIW, tri-tip isn't common here either (PA), but I have found it in Whole Foods. Although not in the aisles, they had some hidden behind the counter so you had to ask for it specifically. $10/lb here. A local farm sells grass fed for $16 |

Quoted: Buy twice as much as you were going to. Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: Stuff has gotten pricey. It's up around $7.50 a pound now. Buy twice as much as you were going to. They sell them in either 2 packs or a packer, which usually has 8 tips in it weighing between 16 to 20 pounds. Um...give me some options? |

+1. This man knows the way of the tri-tip. Bow your heads, you uncouth assholes. May he show mercy on your wretched souls. Quoted:

Quoted: Way ahead of ya. You know how I do. Quoted: Quoted: Now sub, you better cook this over natural lump charcoal, or better yet, red oak that has burned down to a nice bed of coals. Just wanna be sure you didn't get too Ohioized. ![]() |

Quoted: I don't remember if you have Stater Bros. up north but I bought a couple on Friday for $4.99/lb. They sometimes go on major sale for 2.99/lb. That's when the freezer gets filled up. :-) Never seen a Stater Bros. I was hoping for a Memorial Day sale at one of the grocery stores, but no such luck. |
