Hey OP, you're a day late.  The thread making fun of the Lone Star State's severe drought and killer heat was yesterday.

Man, I will take the heat and drought any day over Hurricane Andrew.  That shit is crazy.

Have you ever been through a hurricane? The worst part is the electricity going out for a few hours.  Actually the only hurricanes where the electricity went out here were Andrew and Charlie. Next worst thing is all the damn twigs in the yard. Back breaking work picking up twigs.

I have... The worst part is your neighbor being killed by a pine tree through the roof.

Any more dumb statements?

Actually, the worst part was the storm surge at 9' and the ceiling at 8'.

Oh, I didn't say I hope he personally experiences something like that. Although I probably wouldn't be so fucking classless as to start a thread mocking him while posting pictures of my kids if it did.

And here we have someone who migrated to Florida from a northern state and is suddenly trying to fit in.

I lived through Andrew, obviously you didn't.

Really? That's the worst part? Wow, I should go tell all of my friends and family and neighbours who lost hundreds of thousand of dollars worth of property and repair costs to Ike that it's just no big deal. They'll be really relieved to hear that they've been fretting over nothing this whole time. Particularly the ones who only had a few hours (2 weeks) worth of power loss.

Well I'm so deeply saddened to hear of the tragedy other people have to go through. I guess I got off lucky then. I got bulls-eyed by charley and I still remember the back breaking work of cleaning up my lawn from all the twigs and branches.

I'm not going to allow you to goad me into telling you what I actually think of you. Let it suffice to say that your experience differs from mine where hurricanes are concerned. Probably because I've actually been through several.

Here in S.E. New Mexico they don't last long enough to starve.

They dry up and blow away first.

Or are you implying something about lack of gray matter?

Hmmmm....

Florida, which is hot and humid no matter where you go...

Or God's country, where I have choices about the terrain and climate I can live in (which for me would be the panhandle).

Being that Florida is now a suburb of NYC (and thus being overrun by libtards), I'm voting for Texas.  Heat and all.

Lots of good, wholesome, conservative people in FL, but those folks are being outnumbered as time goes by.  It's only a matter of time now.
