Pretty neat, but probably not terribly practical up here where it snows.

Unless it's heated.

I can't imagine how deep those hydraulic actuators go to move that stone deck back and forth!!!

neatest thing I seen today.

Neat, but out of my budget. Even a conventional pool is out of my budget.

Im trying to convince the wife that the kids can swim in a pond. I did it for years.

I wonder what the MSRP is on something like that.

Apparently one of the patio panels is removable by 'Certified Builders' for any maintenance that is needed.

Sounds like a filthy algae trap, to me. I'll pass.

sure looks neat but I can see problems when someone has a couple adult bevreages and dives in head first thinking its 8 ft deep when someone readjusted to kiddie pool depth !!!

Spinal injury anyone ??

Me too, I'm going to call it a 'rural residence fire protection' system and see if I can find an Obama grant to fund it.

Pretty cool, would definitely want if the pool was larger, lap pool size at least.

Edit:
10'x18' available, SOLD!

I submitted a contact form, unfortunately the company is in California, but I'd assume they've got a decent builders network around the country, if I get prices I'll post them here.

A lot more than it's worth.

I'm guessing that approx 12 foot pool in the video is on the order of 60k or so.

Also, it really looks destined to be an unhygienic cesspit. You won't want to see the underside of that 'patio' section after a few years.

Music was perfect, but other than "Gee whiz factor,"  I don't see a whole lot of benefit in exchange for what I assume are the extra costs involved with installation and maintenance.

I would speed up the lowering mechanism, rig it up to a remote control and then invite the neighbors over for a cookout on my new patio.

damn that is so cool, i can impress all the neighborhood milfs and bang them in the pool

Around the same price as the Masssoud.  Probably be shipping around the same time too.

On the plus side it would be really safe if you have small kids, when you are done just put it up to patio setting and you don't have to worry about the little ones falling in.

I like the idea

It is a lot like the pool in the "O" show at Bellagio.

The inventor built the first one to help his mother get in and out of a therapy pool

if you did not require the novelty of a hydraulically driven variable depth pool ,

a deck with a slide off cover lid would be cheaper.

one nice aspect of this system is when you elevate it and lock it out,

the pool is safe from drowning accidents

That's pretty slick!

I used to work at a huge Cirque type water show (Le Reve at Wynn Las Vegas) and it had a similar system on a grand scale. The pool was 32' deep, and the lift would also come like 12' out of the water.

Center lift, independent concentric ring around that, and then 3 more lifts with walk ways around that. Pretty nifty. And every lift has full water effects and lighting packages. Put that in your home pool!

And you could put that system together at home with means other than hydraulics. Cable lifts or toothed tracks come to mind.
