I know that some states restrict high capacity mags, but what federal restrictions are there?

In my limited research, I can't find any federal regulation that prohibits high capacity mags for AR's, AK's, or any other legal rifle.  But I keep seeing references in other posts that there are such regulations...

There are no current federal restrictions on mags. Some states have various types of AWBs in place that restrict mags in some ways.

i have not found any regulations on a federal level either. the regulations would have to be state law.
