I know prices on speakers, amplifiers, turntables can be seriously crazy, but $15,000 for a phono cartridge!

I once mounted my buddy's ClearAudio Gold cartridge, which back in ~2000, was the most expensive cartridge you could buy with a $7500 pricetag.

I was shaking and sweating, but I didn't snap anything.

Table was an Avid Acutus.

OFC? Why that is so 80's! One must use Cryogenically treated hexagon crystal matrix pure silver wire for optimum signal transfer!

I thought my dad's Sota Turntable was expensive until I saw a $150,000 Ogling Clearaudio’s Statement Turntable

Wait - are the braided/ twisted cables a passed fad, or still a thing these days?

And what about the glass/ ceramic cable risers to insulate the speaker wires and power cords from the dreaded static electrical discharges from carpeted floors?

Inquiring minds want to know!
