ok, a friends ac is frozen up. lines coming into the house and the coils on the inside of the air handler. I am thinking that since the filter has not been changed in quite some time. that the compressor doing its job well - but no cooling was taking effect - no hot air getting to the coils. Does this sound right. we have cleaned the filter and will wait for the lines to defrost. Thanks, Badredfish |

like the other guys said did you check the out going vents(lots of air )some times when you don't change the filters enough the crud dosen't get to the evaporator coil(it gets lodged into the squirel cage blower! And if the crud gets enough into the blower moter, then it gets onto the evap coil(which usually drops crud into the condinsate drain(then you get a blockage )water(cold water)down stairs into the hall area! So damnit just change your A/C filter!! Bob |
