My experience, from working with vets and helping them with several veterans groups, is that 97% of the homeless, and about 70% of others looking for a handout, that claim to be vets are full fo crap. Come to us asking for help, and we will. Claim to be a vet, and we will vet you (no pun intended). |
We have a few clients that run homeless shelters. Part of the requirement to stay there is to fill out these cards with your background. The non profit group runs the names of vets through to see if they can get additional aid for them. Like you said 90% of them are lying. |
