I just use little stands I made out of pvc bases and rip some wood to fit in them for posts +1 I made a couple of these and they work fine. I shoot in several different locations and they pack up and move easily. http://www.theboxotruth.com/educational-zone-24-homemade-target-stand/ . |

Fuck backstops! Yeah kinda looks that way but it's on the side of a big hill and I'm shooting from the top another hill. It may not be the best but I think it works the hill it's on extends another 70-80ft in elevation. This is where I shoot 250-500 yards. If I do pistol or short rifle I set up on a stock tank dam. |

How can I do this. But hang steel gongs, and get everything from home depot. Well I was thinking get some u bolts that fit around the t post. And some chain that can bolt on the u bolts. Then bolt or hang the steel target on the chain. The u bolts will allow you to adjust height. |

Campaign signs are my number one target stands. FREE is better. I never thought about Christmas ornaments or teddy bears but that is a good idea. I like it.
I even print my own targets. Remington Arms has targets you download for free. I like there 50yrd targets the most. I even use them for 100yrd sight ins, they work purity well. Wolf |
I drive two lengths of rebar in the ground. Put two pieces of same-sized cardboard one on top the other. Duct tape them together around three edges. Slide the open end overtop the rebar. This is your target backer. If that blows over its too windy to shoot for me. Cheap. Easy to transport. Takes up little space. So easy even a cave woman could do it.

I never thought about Christmas ornaments or teddy bears but that is a good idea. I like it. you're welcome I even print my own targets. if you want to make uber cheap paper targets, printer ink is expensive, do what I do. I bought a few still in wrap unused rolls of wallpaper, again from a garage sale for cheap; 50 cents. then I take cardboard, cut out a man silhouette stencil. roll the wallpaper, white side up, down my driveway, and just go down and roughly spray paint the silhouette on it. roll it up, now you have a roll of targets. you can take the roll with you and cut it out on the range you can cut out any target stencil and size you want. I just use the man silhouette. |
